Free 15-Minute Copywriting Consult
If you’ve ever read Lord of the Rings (I don’t think this part was in the movie) you know what Hobbits do when they have a birthday. That’s right, they throw a party, invite all the neighbours from the Shire, and give them gifts.
Well, I’m no big fan of parties, so I won’t be doing anything more than a hike in the woods and cake with my family.
But I did want to give a gift to all of you this coming Wednesday.
More so I want to make something up to you…
You see, I receive several emails every single day from struggling copywriters who are confused about how to proceed in their career. Some have put out money for this course or that info product, and still haven’t made a penny. Others are making pennies, but wondering when the $100K lifestyle will kick in.
The requests for help have been overwhelming. Depending on the day, my mood, the tone of the email, they’ve either been deleted or moved to a folder to attend to “later.” Well, I finally attended to that folder last week and found mail dating back to November 2007. And there was a lot of it.
I had to have an assistant go through it all and send individual emails to each person.
Why I’ve Been a Little Harsh With Some Subscribers
I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve been a little harsh with some mail that has come in. I just don’t appreciate people: 1) Telling me I must help them or 2) Begging for work.
Reality is: Nobody is obliged to help. Most of us have our own problems.
Secondly, begging is the worst way to get work of any kind, unless you are into loading bricks onto a truck. You need to offer more value to your clients (or customers) than you want in return (in the form of money).
That said… I do understand the confusion and frustration many new copywriters feel. Even old copywriters, for that matter. I’ve been there (sometimes I feel like I’m still there). I’ve done about every type of project you can imagine, from online to direct mail to newspapers to Yellow Pages, in a variety of markets, for clients, for myself, for charities…
As many of you know I’m moving away from client work to focus on writing for my own online businesses. That’s not a recommendation, just a personal choice.
Anyways, email is a difficult medium to answer your questions and truly help you. Plus, I only have so much time.
So Here’s What I’m Going to Do…
I’m going to give anybody who would like, a 15-minute free consultation. You can ask me anything and I’ll give you very detailed answers. Most people want to know how to get started or where to go next. Well, I can’t tell you what’s the “BEST” next step, but I’m sure I can help you make a wiser decision. There are really some simple ways to figure out which way you should go.

Here’s the deal… I was born on April 16 at 12:36pm EST.
So this Wednesday at 12:36pm I’ll be sending you a link to a page on RealityCopywriting.com. There you can fill in your name, email and phone number, that’s all you need to get a 15-minute free consultation with me on the telephone. One of my assistants will call you back and set up a time we can meet.
Now, just to put this in perspective, my clients pay me $145.00/hour . By giving away 15-minute for free, I’m giving up $36.25 (CAD). Whatever you do, don’t tell my wife!
I can only put aside 30-minutes a day at the most for this.
Consults will be booked in order that they are requested.That’s why I’m letting you know about this now. I want everybody to have equal chance at submitting their request for a consultation. There could very well be 100 consult requests. Maybe 200. Which means it’ll take me 50-100 business days (10-20 weeks!) to get through them all.
So, on April 16th, at 12:36pm I’ll be sending you an email (if you are a subscriber) with a link to the 15-Minute Free Reality Copywriting Consult Request form. Fill out the form as quickly as you can. We’ll be contacting people in the order the requests arrive.
Also, the first THREE people to request a consult, will get 30-minutes, instead of 15.

I’m No “Copywriting Guru”
I’ve had some success, many failures and am willing to share with you what I’ve learned. People pay me $145/hour to consult with me on copywriting and marketing. I’ve never had anybody request a refund. I run a mastermind group once a week with three doctors in it. You can check out more at my self-promo site.
The consult is free. Still, I want to make it clear that I’m not claiming you’ll become rich from talking to me. I do not write copy from a private beach with a clipboard. I make no promise that my advice will guarantee you any specific results. That said, I attend to help you if I can. In any area that you want, for 15-minutes. Whether it’s how to find clients, how to start up your own internet sites, a review of your copy or quite simply, “What the heck should I do?” I’ll be happy to give the best information and advice I can on the matter.
There will be no cleverly disguised sales pitch. That said, some people may pay me to help them more. That’s fine. I won’t try to sell you on that. The free consult will be a good sample of what I can offer you, if you were to consider seeking more coaching from me.

We never wish anybody before their birthday, that is the custom here in Moscow Russia..
Aries is a great month and with an ascended Aries I find absolute periods of productivity with Arians…thanks for giving me the ayurvedic site..Helen is absolutely marvellous..and I was wondering at the upfront and racey copy ..now I know it was you every letter and nuance…will try to be there and consult but cannot make promises since I dont have this computer for always share it with a Russian who made me his wife for his own private reason..I am trying to ease myself out and find my rhythm and my wave pattern which shows itself every now and then…

I forgot to mention an interesting story about my birth… I was c-section. This was back in the day when the father wasn’t allowed in the operating room. My Dad is practical and relaxed man, so having nothing to do, went to have lunch at the cafeteria (being as I was born at 12:36pm).
The delivery was quite complicated. It took THREE doctors. Guess what their names were? John, Clarke and Anthony. My parents felt so indebted to them all, that I was christened John Clarke Anthony Manley on the spot.
Well, actually, I was the one doing the christening. Dr. John was showing my parents how to put on a diaper and I peed in his eye. My mother felt so bad, they insisted that he deserved to have his first name used.
